Alien Clearing Services

A centralised service that specialises in the management of invasive alien species that may be called upon by each park. The primary focus is on protecting the natural biodiversity of South African private parks by making sure the indigenous species of forna and flora are not being over run by alien species and that the naturally wild open spaces are not littered with alien species.

The high level phases during the journey, which is generally a very slow and long term journey, of invasive alien species management are:

1. Area audit to determine the species, extent of invasion, role players and action plan;
2. Initial clearing;
3. Follow-up clearing; and
4. Maintenance clearing.
